Orla serves as a Chief Executive Officer of Ballybunion, with responsibility for Relationship Management for existing and new clients as well as overseeing the day-to-day running of the firm.
Orla has worked in the funds industry since 2003, specialising in relationship and client management roles.
She has previously worked with Cheyne Capital in London, RBC Investor & Treasury Services, Caceis Bank and Brown Brothers Harriman in Dublin.
Orla is currently authorised as a non-executive Director of regulated investment funds domiciled in Ireland across various asset classes.
Qualifications: BA International, Higher Diploma in Business Studies, Certified Investment Fund Director with the Institute of Banking
Patrick is the founding partner of Ballybunion and has over 40 years’ experience in global investment banking and asset management, focusing primarily on alternative investments.
Prior to Ballybunion, he worked for several well-respected asset managers including, Bank of Ireland Asset Management, Barclays Capital & ING Barings.
Patrick is also a non-executive Director of regulated investment funds domiciled in Ireland.
Qualifications: Law Degree, Solicitor
Within Claire’s role as Director, she heads up the firms’ finance and compliance functions.
Claire is a qualified accountant (FCMA, CGMA) and has over 20 years’ experience in financial services.
Prior to Ballybunion, she worked as a Finance Manager for a well-respected bank.
Qualifications: FCMA, CGMA
Barry has over 30 years’ experience within the financial services industry.
He spent a several years working for Wang & Oracle, following which he was appointed Managing Director of Linedata Global Investment Systems, a leading provider of systems and consultancy service to the global asset management and investment funds industries.
Barry is a non-executive director of a number of investment funds and companies domiciled in Ireland and other offshore jurisdictions.
Within Brendan’s role as Director, he heads up Ballybunion’s Life Products business, which includes life settlement funds.
Brendan has nearly 40 years’ experience in investment products within the life assurance and funds industries.
He is Chair and Independent Non-Executive Director of the subsidiaries of a number of international insurance entities regulated in Ireland.
Brendan has also recently launched a high performance coaching business, R&B Coaching, with his son, Robert.

Ronan has over 35 years’ experience in fixed income, capital markets and risk within the asset management industry.
Prior to Ballybunion, he worked for Bank of Ireland Asset Management as a Director and Head of Fixed Income before spending several years at State Street as Head of Market Data. Ronan began his career with the Central Bank of Ireland and is a qualified Accountant.
He is a non-executive Director of a number of investment companies and structures domiciled in Ireland.
Greg heads up the firm’s Risk Management Services and has over 35 years’ experience in financial trading and risk management.
Prior to Ballybunion, he spent a considerable amount of time working in Chicago, London and Dublin with a number of leading trading firms, as well as a specialist risk management consultancy business.
Qualifications: BA Economics, Professional Certificate in International Fund Services (IOB), Professional Certificate in Responsible and Sustainable Finance
As a Senior Manager in the Dublin office, Shane oversees a portfolio of clients predominately covering real estate and private equity structures.
Shane is a member of the Association of Charted Certified Accountants (FCCA) and has worked in financial services since 2008 mainly in fund administration roles.
Prior to joining Ballybunion, Shane worked for International Fund Services, a State Street company, where he held the position of Assistant Vice President in their Alternatives fund accounting division.
Qualifications: Masters in Professional Accountancy, Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance
Aidan is responsible for managing a portfolio of property and loan funds.
He is an experienced former senior banking professional with extensive experience of credit underwriting and credit and risk management at both individual client and portfolio level.
He also has significant experience in the management of challenged loan books, implementation of appropriate asset management, workout and recovery strategies and sectoral and sub-sectoral loan book reviews.
Throughout his career, Aidan has led credit due diligence teams on several potential loan book acquisitions.
Qualifications: BA Mathematics & English, Member of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland – Professional Banking Diploma
Declan oversees a diverse portfolio of clients from structured products, fixed income, life settlements and loans.
He predominantly focuses on the fund operations and oversight of all service providers to the firm’s funds.
Declan has worked within the funds industry for five years. He previously worked for GAM Investments as part of the dealing team and Citco Ireland in their reconciliations team.
